The end of August always means a tired looking garden for me. That's why I always plant coleus (and other annuals) that not only look good until November, but adds all the fall feels for when everything else in the garden is calling it quits! And now that the sun is lower in the sky and it's windier, the shadows in the garden are absolutely dreamy 🥰

While I am aghast at how chilly it is and it's not even SEPTEMBER yet....I'm really into the plaid shacket look/coziness of the coming fall season. I'm on the fence about this one though. Is it too pink in combination with my hair??? I like pink, but I'm not into pink everything. What do we think of this look??? I need some input!! I can't believe I haven't been to the botanical gardens since Hazel was born 😱 I used to be un ami du jardin and everything! So happy to have made it out there with @everlycrusher while there was still so much in bloom 🥰🥰🥰

New blog post is up! Back when we unearthed some gorgeous wood during our 2022 extension project, we just knew we had to keep some of the boards for a future project. It's amazing what you can find when your house was built in 1944. A lot of weird things for sure, but some cool stuff too! We decided to make some shelves out of the pieces we saved and I think it's such a lovely way to pay homage to the history of the house! You can still see some of the bark from the original trees 😱 Can't you just imagine the lumberjacks hand-sawing the trees in the forest to build the house??? Swipe to see what our home apparently looked like before they installed the brick! And the link to more pics is in the bio!
